Job: Top HandLocation: Phoenix, AZTower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Top Hand in our Phoenix, AZ. office. As a Top Hand, you will serve as an integral member of our engineering team. Tower Engineering Professionals offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k with company match, and a relaxed, fun environment.Job Responsibilities:Assist Tower Foreman with Supervision of a crew of 2-5 climbersSafely and efficiently complete repairs and upgrades at elevated heightsKnowledge and strict adherence to the applicable safety regulation and Safety policiesFollow instructions to accomplish assigned work in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain proper use of company vehicles, credit cards and other assigned assetsRead customer blueprints and execute scope of work per the customer's specificationsExpansion and upgrades to established major cellular carrier networks, new installs, turnkey, microwave, LMRPre-Work and Post-Work site auditsSite upgrades and capacity expansionAbility and willingness to train team membersPreferred Job Qualifications:Valid driver's license required3+ years of current/relevant tower climbing experienceCurrent authorized tower climber or competent climber and rescue certification preferred.Ability to work at heights upwards of 300' +Ability to successfully complete and maintain certifications for the following courses: Competent Climber, Competent Rescuer, ANSI A10.48 Rigging Certification, Capstan Operations, RF Awareness, OSHA 10, First Aid/ CPR and other certifications as requiredExperience installing and maintaining: Cabling, Antennas, Microwave dish, tower builds (NEW/MODS), site inspections, FAA lighting systems, cell carriers (Sprint, T-MOB, Verizon, USCC, Etc.)Knowledge of and ability to operate test equipment (i.e. RF sweep gear, PIM and fiber testing)Strong verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookAble to work independently and as a member of a teamAble to travel extensively and work a flexible scheduleWillingness to undergo a background and drug screening is requiredMust have knowledge with battery installation and power plant in shelters (Power Plant and Battery cut over shelter work).Other Duties as Assigned:The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
