SolidWorks Design Support

At Roadcase.com we manufacture the highest quality cases in the entertainment and live events industry. Our cases are made to store and transport costly and delicate items from event to event. Roadcase.com is expanding and we are looking for individuals who takes pride in the work they do and cares about producing a quality product. The Design Support role is responsible for supporting the design department in a multitude of aspects. From minor design work in SolidWorks to document and process standardization and creation. This job requires excellent attention to detail, must be a self-starter and resourceful, a willingness to learn quickly, and someone who is a fanatic about the details. Good attendance and a positive attitude are always welcome too! Daily Functions: Development of detailed documentation for the manufacturing of road cases Update and upkeep of digital library, from digital equipment CAD files (SolidWorks) to process documents (MS Word, Excel) Active collaboration with management to translate company needs and expectations into SOP’s (MS Word, Excel) Modeling of equipment that get stored into case’s (SolidWorks) Quoting cases by laying out material costs of plywood, foam, carpet, etc (SolidWorks) Creation of material cut lists in the form of 2D .DWG or .DXF data (SolidWorks) Skills: Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Ability to do your own research Recognize patterns and standards Curious, self-starter, not afraid to ask questions Excellent communication skills Manufacturing knowledge would be desirable but not necessary SOP/Process Creation Qualifications: 3 years of SolidWorks Experience Associate’s degree (Not Required, preferred) Benefits: 401(k) Match Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Health savings account Paid time off EAP Roadcase.com is a drug-free workplace.
