CyberPatriot Coordinator

Summary The Special Projects Coordinator will work closely with the Special Projects Manager to successfully manage high school special projects programs. The coordinator will work with EduCare’s internal departments, school administration, clients, partnering agencies, and all other stakeholders to ensure that program logistics are executed effectively and the project goals and objectives are met. Hybrid work schedule, this position requires frequent travel to different schools throughout the LA area for the after-school programs. The Cyber Patriot Program is a Beyond the Bell program that promotes cyber security and coding. The purpose of this program is to promote exposure to the cyber security field through competition-based curriculum. Cyber Patriot Students are also exposed to the coding language Python following the Cyber Patriot competition season-ending. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Supervises and coordinates program staff, specifically program facilitators. Schedules staff and manages program calendars and event schedules. Communicates frequently and effectively with all program stakeholders. Manages the daily program operations at the participating school sites. Conducts frequent school site visits to evaluate staff performance. Assists in coordinating events, activities, and meetings for school administration, parents and community organizations in order to increase program support. Attends all program weekend events, training and leadership meetings. Maintains clear communication regarding training and leadership activities schedules and dates. Orders and purchases supplies. Will be responsible for program supplies and inventory tracking. Coordinates supply pick-ups. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills · Must have an Associate Degree from a recognized college or university, completion of two years of college at a recognized college or university, or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. · Minimum 2 years of after-school program experience. · Minimum 2 years of program coordination experience. · Able to independently supervise and support staff. · Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. · Able to multi-task, prioritize tasks and projects. · Must have initiative and problem-solving skills. Must be detail-oriented and follow through on tasks/projects until completion. · Must be adaptable and open to change. · Must be available some Saturdays (for events and training) · Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. · Must have a Class C driver’s license. · Must present proof of negative Tuberculosis skin test (Mantoux) before beginning employment dated within 60 days prior to hire date. Supervisory Responsibilities The Program Coordinator, with direction and support from the Senior Special Projects Manager, will carry out supervisory responsibilities under EduCare’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training of staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and staff relations. Other Qualifications: Although the employee will be assigned to a specific school site location, if EduCare’s needs change, the employee may be reassigned to another school site location. Must be willing and able to travel to multiple locations throughout the Los Angeles area for trainings, meetings, etc. on an as-needed basis. Must complete the Live Scan background check prior to beginning employment. Must present proof of negative Tuberculosis skin test (Mantoux) dated within 60 days prior to the hire date before beginning employment. Must complete CPR/First Aid Certification within 90 days of employment. Completion of other required trainings (i.e., Sexual harassment prevention training, CPR/First Aid, etc.) when assigned.
