Position ObjectiveThe Inside Sales Representative (Parts & Service Manager) serves as the critical engine of Mahan’s aftermarket operations. This role bridges the gap between technical inquiry and operational execution by managing the full lifecycle of parts requests and service projects. We are seeking a mechanically minded professional who can translate customer needs into accurate quotes, oversee technical shop workflow, and ensure high-quality delivery of refurbished thermal solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Direct and oversee shop workflow to ensure technicians are prioritized and productive. Operational Performance: Price parts and service projects accurately while managing the repair lifecycle from check-in to final reporting. Financial Management: Drive shop profitability by maximizing utilizationRelationship Management: Act as the "Inside Sales" expert for a worldwide client base, fielding parts requests and supporting outside sales engineers. Technical Mastery: Rapidly gain proficiency in the part systems and specifications of 25+ diverse industrial vendors. System Improvement: Utilize CRM/ERP systems for inventory and quoting, including the digitization of legacy files. QualificationsExperience: 5+ years in an industrial or mechanical position (e.g., Service Manager for a mechanical contractor, Navy/Military purchasing, or industrial parts sales). Technical Aptitude: Mechanically inclined with an understanding of how pumps, motors, and industrial systems work. Proven Track Record: Ability to manage high-volume part numbers and navigate complex vendor relationships. Education: College degree preferred (Engineering or Business), but equivalent mechanical experience is highly valued. Traits: Tech-literate, disciplined, and committed to technical excellence.
