Matrix Providers is hiring a Clinical Office Administrator (Admin) to assist practitioners who assist with one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams at Tacoma, WA.
Employment Status: PRN
Compensation: This is a hourly, paid bi-weekly.
Schedule: PRN, May Thru Sept Temp Coverage, Monday - Friday, 7:45am-4:45pm. (Female only required for job role)

General Summary of Position
The Clinical Office Administrator (Admin) performs administrative duties in a healthcare setting. Duties may include, greeting veterans, effectively managing office functions, ensuring exam entry is complete, telephone and clerical support.
Required Qualifications
Female only required for this job role. When a patient is seen by a Admin, the Tacoma, WA facility provides the patient with the option for either a male Admin or female Admin, according to what will make the patient most comfortable during a sensitive examination or procedure. The Tacoma, WA facility therefore must provide patients with access to both male and female Admin to facilitate patient choice. This posting is specifically for a Female Admin, which will allow the Tacoma, WA facility to fulfill its Female Admin staffing needs.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Individuals must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
Candidates must possess computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite programs, Gmail and Google Drive, setting up printers, troubleshooting internet issues, ability to learn new programs and systems.
This job may require sitting for long periods, bending, twisting and occasionally lifting/carrying more than 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
Receives and screens telephone calls and visitors to the office. Determines the need(s) of the caller/visitor and addresses them, accordingly, providing information per organization policy. Takes and forwards messages.
Makes appointment confirmation phone calls. Provide instructions to patient, explain an upcoming exam, and/or answer questions.
Make call outs to veteran if exam date and time needs to be modified same day.
Greets Veterans by completing check-in process and performs necessary screenings for appointments. Obtains necessary demographic information, signatures, copies, etc. Verifies all information.
Maintains compliance files, records, logs, charts in accordance with Optum Serve and Federal, State, and Local regulatory, contractual, and organizational guidelines including HIPAA as outlined in training and policies/procedures, quality assurance and improvement processes.
Maintains and orders supplies for personnel/department as needed or requested.
Receives and opens incoming mail and packages. Reviews, sorts, and directs to the appropriate person.
Acts as point of contact for repairs, installations, record retrieval and other company needs.
Assists with orientation for new staff and practitioners.
Contacts IT for assistance with issues in the office.
Performs light cleaning and sanitization of common areas and front desk area.
Chaperone exams as requested by examiner and exam type.
Performs any other duties as directed by Optum Serve leadership.
