CNC Programmer/Machinist

Job Summary CNC Programmer is responsible for generating programs/tool path codes for CAD-generated parts as required throughout the boat-building process. This position is responsible for loading the programmed codes into the CNC router, setting up/adjusting tooling, running simulations for quality control, loading raw materials, and cutting. This position will be for a second shift/night shift. Responsibilities Reading blueprints and manipulating CAD drawings using 3D design software. Verify drawings/parts are ready and suitable for programming. Produce toolpath/CAM programs for CNC routing machines. Set up CNC routers for cutting different materials. Load and unload raw materials/cut components. Qualifications Rhino 3D and/or Solidworks software experience preferred. 2 years experience with 5 axis CNC router table. Experience with speed and feed selection for different materials. Understanding of quality control procedures. Thorough knowledge of G-code programming. Experience with Osai and Fanuc controllers. Candidate needs to be well organized with ability to multitask. Ability to change from project to project on a moment’s notice and stay focused. Fast paced environment working with high energy team members to build the best sportfish yacht in the industry. Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Able to write technical reports and field notes.
