About the Role We are seeking a skilled Valve Technician to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of valve systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of valve types. Your proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams and your commitment to safety will be essential to your success. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues affecting valve performance, ensuring minimal downtime. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of valves to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with specifications. Execute the disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of valves, adhering to strict quality standards. Generate comprehensive service reports detailing work performed, observations, and recommendations. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Collaborate effectively with plant personnel to address valve-related concerns and provide technical support. Qualifications Required Skills High School diploma/GED. Minimum of 2 years of experience in valve maintenance or repair. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, and walking for extended periods. Preferred Skills Associate Degree in a mechanical field. Experience with pneumatic and digital controls. Strong communication and customer service skills.
