Elementary Teacher (Grades K-4) Job Summary:The Elementary Teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans that align with the elementary school curriculum while engaging young minds in learning activities, and helping each student reach their full potential. We seek someone who will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters children's academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth. Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover core subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies.Create a positive classroom environment that encourages students to interact, learn, and grow. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and healthy environment.Regularly assess students' progress through observation, quizzes, and other tools. Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance and areas for improvement.Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their students' progress, behavior, and any concerns. Schedule and conduct parent-teacher conferences.Safeguard confidential records and inquires in a professional manner.Collaborate with colleagues to plan instructional goals, curriculum, and teaching strategies.Supervise students during transitions between classes and special events as needed. Ensuring the health and safety of students, equipment and facilities by implementing appropriate precautionsRepresent Xavier Catholic Schools professionally in interactions with stakeholders, including parents, community members, staff and students Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Elementary Education or related field required that includes at least 12 hours of credit in teacher education as part of or in addition to the degree.Current WI DPI license: Elementary Education, or ability to obtain a Wisconsin DPI teaching license upon hirePIb7e9052df540-37483-39956820
