Salon Manager — The ShadeOverview The Shade is hiring a Salon Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our studio and the team behind it. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the nail industry inside and out — you've worked in salons, you understand what makes a great client experience, and you take real pride in a spotless, well-run space. You'll own scheduling, team performance, inventory, sanitation standards, and the overall vibe of the studio. If you're the kind of leader who can run a tight ship without losing the warmth and energy that keeps people wanting to come back — both clients and staff — this is your role.What You'll DoLead the studio team day-to-day: build the schedule, coach nail technicians and front desk staff, run team meetings, and set the standard for guest experienceHire, onboard, and train new team members on The Shade's service standards, brand voice, and sanitation protocolsOwn studio operations: open and close procedures, inventory and ordering, supply levels, vendor relationships, and equipment maintenanceUphold sanitation and state board compliance at the highest level — autoclave/UV sterilization, single-use implements, station cleanliness, documentation, and audit readinessManage the booking system: optimize the schedule, minimize gaps, handle escalations, and keep the studio running on timeOversee POS and daily reconciliation — ensure transactions, tips, and retail are accurate and reported correctlyResolve guest concerns with professionalism — turn tricky moments into loyaltyHit revenue, retail, and membership goals; track KPIs and report up to ownershipPartner with corporate/HQ on launches, promotions, and brand initiatives — keep the team aligned and informedMaintain the look and feel of the studio: presentation-ready retail displays, immaculate service stations, on-brand front of houseWhat You BringNail salon experience required — you've worked in or managed a nail salon and understand the rhythm of the business, services, products, and clientele2+ years of management or lead experience in a salon, spa, or similar service-based environmentWorking knowledge of state board sanitation and licensing requirementsStrong people-leadership skills — you can hold a high standard while building a team people actually want to be onSharp operational instincts — scheduling, inventory, vendor management, and the small stuff that keeps a studio hummingComfort with booking software, POS systems, Microsoft Office, and Google WorkspaceA genuine eye for cleanliness, presentation, and brand consistencyCalm under pressure, organized in chaos, and energized by a busy bookBilingual is a major plusWhy The Shade We're building an elevated nail experience rooted in clean design, strict sanitation, and a team that takes pride in the work.
