Ultrasound Technologist New York, NY $45–$56 per hour Full-Time | 36 hours/week Contract: 13 or 26 weeks Start Date: April 2026About the Opportunity A well-establishedoutpatient private imaging practice in New York Citywith over50 years of experienceis seeking a skilledUltrasound Technologistto join their team. This practice is known for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and partners with leading healthcare institutions includingMemorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center . This role focuses heavily onGYN, pelvic, and transvaginal ultrasound studies , with opportunities to work with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced outpatient setting.Schedule 4x10-hour shifts Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Rotating weekday off No weekendsKey Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures includingGYN, pelvic, abdominal, and transvaginal studies Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations while explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort Select appropriate transducers and adjust ultrasound equipment settings based on exam requirements Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images Monitor image quality and adjust scanning techniques as needed Record patient data and exam information in the ultrasound system Maintain accurate documentation of imaging studies and diagnostic results Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to support accurate diagnosesRequired Qualifications ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) New York State license(or ability to obtain prior to start) BLS certification 3–5 years of ultrasound experience Experience withabdominal and OB/GYN ultrasound exams Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound programPreferred Qualifications Experience performingvascular ultrasound studies Experience withpelvic and transvaginal ultrasound imagingTechnology & Equipment GE E9 Ultrasound Machine Royal Systems EHR GE UV PACSWork Environment Outpatient private imaging center Approximately1 patient scheduled every 30 minutes Mix ofscreening and diagnostic imaging cases Collaborative team of radiologists specializing in multiple imaging subspecialtiesWhy Join This Practice?
