Procurement Manager
Overview:
The Procurement Manager will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier sourcing and vendor relationship management, to ensure an efficient and cost-effective supply chain. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies aimed at optimizing costs and improving overall supply chain efficiency.
Identify, assess, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with ethical and sustainability standards.
Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing, payment conditions, and mutually beneficial agreements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
Conduct market research and analysis to remain informed on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations.
Manage supplier relationships through ongoing performance evaluations, issue resolution, and fostering long-term partnerships.
Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
Continuous personnel development.
Other assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Business/Supply Chain or a related discipline
10+ years of relevant procurement, planning, and purchasing experience with a track record of increasing responsibility.
Results driven, highly motivated individual with strong hands-on technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to excel in a high-performance team-oriented production environment.
Demonstrated record of excellence in continuous improvement and change management resulting in improved performance, efficiency, cost management, profits, quality, safety, and employee morale.
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and deal with pressure form a fast paced, dynamic daily production schedule.
Ability to report, analyze, and interpret financial and operating data/variances: skilled at developing and implementing countermeasures, where applicable.
A strategic thinker with strong planning/tactical skills, sense of urgency, focus on measurable results and ability to get things done.
Ability to assess operational performance, develop, recommend and implement corrective action programs, make decisions, and document process and results.
Strong understanding, commitment, and proven track record in meeting safety and environmental requirements/regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
