Apply today or call us at 262-248-0507 for more info!POSITION PURPOSE: Under direction of the Production Supervisor, Operator A operates machines to manufacture a variety of standard parts and details to close tolerances and finish requirements.Locations: Delavan, WI and Cudahy, WISalary Range:$22-$27 Hourly DOEShifts Available: M-Th or Tu-Fr1st shift: 5:00 am - 3:00 pm2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 1:00 am ($2.25 shift premium)Machines you will work with:TsugamiStarTornosESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Receive work assignments; drawings, sequence of operations and machine requirements such as feeds, speeds, dimensions and tolerancesAdjusts and operate machines to perform progressive machining operationsSelect and prepare correct part(s) and load into machineOperate machines as required through manipulating levers, hand wheels and by engaging power, adjusting flow of coolant, observing operations, checking dimensions and adjusting as necessaryRemove burs from parts and chips from machine after operationRESPONSIBILITIES: This list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deems necessary. Employees are and will be held accountable for all duties of the job.Perform close tolerance machining operations such as centering, drilling, reaming, tapping, turning, milling, deburr at back side, file and/or sandOperate multiple machinesOperations may vary with approval of supervisor to compensate for variations in material and machining operationsDress, grind or sharpen tools as necessaryLubricate machines as needed with oil, grease and coolantWork from drawings specifications and job layouts using a variety of measuring instrumentsMake machine and tool adjustments as neededObtain and return tools as requiredLearn to make offsets and change toolingMaintain cutting tools in proper working orderChecks parts per specification and ensure proper forms are completed including part tags, process sheets and timecardsMust be quality conscious and continuously look for quality improvementsREQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.5 years' experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environmentMaintain clean and orderly work area, including equipment and perform all assignments in safe mannerExhibit core values of integrity and accountabilityDemonstrates ability to read, write, speak, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written EnglishPerform basic math calculationsAbility to work at established levels of productionAbility to lift and carry of up to 50 pounds safelyRegularly required to sit, stand, stoop, crouch and kneelVision requirements include (corrective and non) close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focusComply with all company, safety and quality policies and proceduresWORKING CONDITIONS:Exposure to moderate noisesTemperature variancesExposure to fumes, chemicals and airborne particles
