Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:\nRN - Circulator OR\n\nJob Details:\n• Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures as the patient's advocate in the operating room\n• Manage overall nursing care in the OR and ensure a safe and sterile environment\n• Coordinate the surgical team and maintain accountability for supplies, equipment, and documentation\n• Verify patient identity, surgical site, consent, and history while performing preoperative assessments\n• Prepare OR suite with necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to procedures\n• Monitor and maintain aseptic/sterile technique and report any breaks in technique\n• Manage non-sterile aspects of procedures including opening sterile supplies and handling specimens\n• Account for all sponges, sharps, and instruments through surgical counts\n• Continuously assess patient status, vital signs, and physiological responses\n• Document nursing care, medications, implants, supplies, and patient responses in electronic health record\n• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure functionality of equipment\n• Assist with patient transfer to PACU or other units and provide hand-off reports\n• Respond promptly to emergencies including trauma activations and code situations\n• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours surgical emergencies\n• Work in resource-limited setting with flexibility to assist in other perioperative areas as needed\n• Minimum 1-2 years of Operating Room experience as a Circulator strongly preferred\n• Required certifications: Current RN license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (or obtain within 6 months)\n• PALS and CNOR certifications preferred\n• ADN or BSN from accredited nursing program required (BSN preferred)\n• Compact nursing license accepted\n\nFacility:\nThis Critical Access Hospital provides essential surgical services to the rural community with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
