Key Responsibilities * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). * Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. * Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs to all employees, contractors, and visitors. * Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures specific to manufacturing operations. * Manage hazardous waste, chemical inventory, and industrial hygiene programs. * Perform routine site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols. * Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, including drills and training. Recommended Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific field. * 3-5 years of EHS experience, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial setting. * Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local EHS regulations. * Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, including risk assessment, incident investigation, and training. * Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Bonus Qualifications * Experience with EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Cority). * Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification or experience applying continuous improvement principles to EHS programs. * Certification as an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). * Lead Auditor certification for ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
