Student Assistant Duties assigned to student assistants may vary depending on departmental needs and individual skills/abilities. A basic office and computer skills test will be required. Below are examples of some of the things our student workers have assisted with in the past: Social media Video editing/uploading Department initiatives/projects Clerical support Compensation is based on academic level (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior). Summer students are not eligible to receive comprehensive benefits packages, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans, etc. Please be sure to include the following attachments with your application: Resume - Your resume should include the following information: Your name/phone/email Computer skills (including software proficiencies) Knowledge/skills/abilities Work history Academic Records. A copy of your most up to date academic records. College students need to ensure that their records show all respective courses and credits earned. References. If you have not held a paid/volunteer job please provide the contact information for your guidance counselor or advisor. Please NoteStudents must be at least 16 years of age. Students who are less than 18 years of age at the time of hire will need to present a valid Maryland "Work Permit for Minors". This form can be obtained at https://www.dllr.state.md.us/labor/wages/empm.shtml. This position is based at the General Conference Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.
