You will perform design calculations, assist in developing plans and specifications, and collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your work will directly support safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation systems.Responsibilities / Day-to-DayPerform roadway and transportation design tasks, including calculations, analyses, and plan developmentDevelop roadway and traffic design plans using CAD and design softwareConduct technical analyses and prepare supporting reportsEnsure compliance with PennDOT, AASHTO, and local design standardsAssist with permitting efforts, regulatory research, and support for bidding and construction phasesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including engineers, designers, and project managers—to meet project goals, schedules, and budgetsProvide technical input for client presentations and proposal developmentCommunicate effectively with internal teams and support coordination with clients and stakeholdersQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including internshipsEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certificationStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals and design principlesProficiency with engineering software and standard office toolsStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferredExperience with traffic engineering studies and analysesFamiliarity with PennDOT standards and processesExperience with CAD software such as MicroStation or OpenRoadsPE license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain within 1–2 years)Strong written and verbal communication skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.
