Barista/Cashier

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The pay for this role $16 an hour plus tips. Our team averages between $20 and $25 an hour. We pride ourselves on our core values of quality, community, and consistency! Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining cash register integrity. Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring all items meet quality standards. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Follow food handling and safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Experience with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Ability to prepare food items quickly while maintaining quality standards. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. A passion for coffee and café culture is preferred but not required. Previous experience in food service or café settings is a plus but not mandatory.
