Technical and Trade SchoolsPrivate HouseholdsSpecial Food ServicesFacilities Support ServicesServices to Buildings and DwellingsTitle: Facility Maintenance TechnicianDuration: Full Time /Direct HireSalary: $59k- 75k/yearlyLocation: Tonawanda ,NYJOB SUMMARYPerforming inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and system checks on company facilities and equipment.Managing the facility maintenance schedule and coordinating activities with internal departments and external contractors.Starting up and shutting down utility equipment, including steam boilers and clean steam generators.Arranging third-party training or providing internal training as required.Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas according to 5S principles and company safety standards.Ensuring compliance with OSHA and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Responding to emergency and after-hours situations to support employee and facility safety.Providing input to design teams for facility expansion or construction projects.Supporting soft services including snow handling, lawn and landscaping care, waste management, janitorial activities, and pest control.Performing additional duties as assigned.This role involves working at heights, in tight spaces, and performing tasks requiring climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation, including work in outdoor weather conditions.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCESHigh School Diploma or Trade School Certificate with 5–6 years of related experience, or an associate degree in an discipline with 4 years of related experience.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.Experience troubleshooting facility systems, including HVAC/R, fire alarms, electrical motors, boilers, RO systems, chilled water systems, plumbing systems, and wiring practices.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience in using a maintenance software.Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.Ability to coordinate activities with internal teams and external contractors
