City/StateWilliamsburg, VAWork ShiftFirst (Days)Overview:Sentara is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant for Outpatient centers in Williamsburg and Hampton.This is a Flexi Day shift opportunity.The work schedule is for coverage for every Saturday.As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions by accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.Participates/assists with updates in the formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and families to improve patient outcomes.
