Responsibilities
Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Drive various types of freight vehicles including refrigerated trailers and containers
No driver load and unload cargo
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards
Manage route driving schedules to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining fuel efficiency and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route updates, or any issues encountered during trips
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation
TWIC Card required
Two years of CDL driving experience required
Clean driving record required
Experience
Proven truck driving experience with a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) suitable for tractor-trailer operations
Experience operating automatic transmission trucks
Familiarity with the Savannah Port and operations a plus
Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and freight transportation
Excellent route driving skills with a focus on punctuality and customer service

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60,000.00 - $67,600.00 per year
