ELM is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of both residential and commercial spaces in the area.Join our team to be part of one of the fastest growing landscape companies in Houston and learn about what it takes to succeed in this industry.PURPOSEManage and perform maintenance, repair, and installation of irrigation systems across a client base of predominantly commercial properties, with the occasional residential repair.DUTIES AND RESPONSiBILITIESInstall and repair irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, sprinklers, and controllersPerform regular maintenance on irrigation systems to ensure proper functioningTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systemsAdjust sprinkler heads to ensure optimal coverageMonitor water usage and make adjustments as needed to conserve waterCollaborate with landscape designers and maintenance crews to ensure proper irrigation for plants and lawnsOperate hand tools and power tools to complete installation and repair tasksDig trenches and lay pipes for irrigation system installationAssist with other landscape maintenance tasks as neededMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDValid Texas driver’s licenseAbility to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clientsKnowledge of mechanical systems related to irrigationFamiliarity with landscape maintenance techniquesPhysical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditionsAbility to read blueprints, schematics and drawingsAbility to lead and direct the work of othersNICE TO HAVESPrevious experience in irrigation system installation and maintenanceFluency in spanishValid Texas Licensed Irrigator or Texas Licensed Irrigation TechnicianPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSSitting, standing, walking, climbing off and on equipment, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs multiple times per shift. Most time spent outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and water.
