Process and Maintenance Supervisor

The Process and Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical leadership role within the Process Control and Reliability team, guiding a group of highly skilled Equipment Maintenance and Process Engineering Technicians. This position is intended for a strong people leader who can inspire, coach, and develop others while fostering clarity, accountability, and trust across the team. Deep technical expertise is not essential for this role, though it can be an asset. What matters most is the ability to lead people effectively, remove barriers, and create the conditions for disciplined problem solving and continuous improvement.This role enters the organization at an exciting time of growth and transformation. The team is moving into a new season focused on deeply understanding our processes, tools, and methods with the goal of driving unplanned downtime across all manufacturing equipment sets to zero hours. The Process and Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in building and sustaining a strong culture of root cause thinking, learning from failures, and continuously improving how work gets done while modeling SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing principles.Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Define performance standards, review outcome of performance goals and set future targets for technicians and specialists. Assign technician duties, establish and oversee training needs. 2. Troubleshoot processes, equipment, machinery and systems and document and track failures. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment. 3. Perform equipment and software evaluations and continuous improvement activities for all areas of Manufacturing.4. Create, update and ensure control of department work instructions.5. Work within established safety and quality standards.6. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.7. Understand. Create. Simplify.8. Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsTwo-year associate's degree in engineering technology or equivalent experienceTwo years of leadership experienceFive years of manufacturing-related technical experience with in-depth understanding of manufacturing equipment programming, maintenance, and repairExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to follow detailed technical instructionsExpertise in Excel, Word, Access and maintenance softwareStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)Preferred QualificationsFour-year degree (BS) in related fieldSupervisory trainingDOE trainingPhysical RequirementsLift and maneuver 40 poundsPull weight from high/low shelvesReachBendGripTwistSit and/or stand at least 8 hoursFine finger dexterityLocation: Pullman, WA- This position is located in Pullman, WA. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background.
