STORE MANAGERThe Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations to ensure profitability, exceptional customer service, and compliance with company standards. This role provides leadership to the store team, driving sales, managing inventory, controlling expenses, and maintaining operational excellence. Executes day to day activities of employees (scheduling, payroll, hiring, and employee development).Provides sales and service leadership, mentorship, and coaching.Works closely with Finance Support to drive performance through pre-determined KPIs. Analyzes results and takes appropriate actions to effectively monitor and manage expense control and improvements.Maintains the store budget and P&L.Maintains Breeder relations and works with Petland’s Breeder Relations Managers to maximize window space.Maintains veterinarian relationship, manages vet expenses and conducts regularly scheduled reviews with the veterinarian to ensure objectives are aligned.Helps the corporate offices manage employee, customer, and community relations (including charities, social media, and relationships with local Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and other community members/offices.)Ensures Inventory Control Management (i.e. margin/ratios, planograms, etc.) is maintained for all departments within the store.REQUIRED SKILLS:Customer ServiceTeamworkCommunicationMotivationProfessionalismEthicsTime ManagementLeadershipREQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
