The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with a wide range of internal and external constituents, including College leadership, the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, alumni, families, and friends. This role demands a strategic and entrepreneurial leader who can build on the institution's strong foundation in fundraising and alumni engagement. The VPA will be expected to have a deep understanding of advancement best practices, a compelling vision for the future of the Advancement division, and a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in securing major and principal gifts.Applicants for the Vice President for Advancement position at the company should be experienced senior advancement professionals with a minimum of 10 years' leadership and management experience. The role requires a candidate with a successful history in fundraising, alumni engagement, and program and personnel leadership, as well as experience in developing and managing comprehensive campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a personal record of success in securing seven- and eight-figure gifts and will be adept at leading a talented and motivated staff across various advancement functions. Outstanding organizational, communication, and management skills are essential, as is a championing of the liberal arts and a commitment to the values of academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and inclusion.
