You will be responsible for overseeing our company's credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payments and minimizing our risk exposure. As a critical member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and make a significant impact on our bottom line.Why You Want To Work HereOpportunity to work at a the leading independently owned and operated distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies in North America.Offers the benefits and competitive compensation.Eligible for ownership stake in the company.Rapidly expanding industry leader!Job DescriptionSupervise a team of 4-6 dailyPrepare and distribute call lists for high-priority customers and several past-due customers.Monitor the aging of account balances; while ensuring the team stays on top of aging accounts.Review payment terms and update recommendations for existing customers.Review and approve requests for demand letters submitted by credit specialists, and approval of steps as necessaryReview and approve accounts for submission to third-party collection agencies.Review and approve hold requests from the team of customer orders.Month-end statement review; assignment of statements to each specialist for completion of various tasksQualifications5 years of experience in credit and collections managementAbility to lead and foster a high level of morale for a high-performing, customer-focused teamStrong knowledge of accounting principles, credit analysis, and collections techniquesProficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting softwareExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAttention to detail and accuracyLeadership and team-building skillsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldThis position is moving extremely fast as this is an urgent need for the client.
