Responsibilities
The Culinary manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within the company. Included with overseeing operations is quality and output of product.
Within operations, the Culinary Manager is expected to coach, train, and hold restaurant BOH team members accountable to Urban Egg standards and recipes.
The Culinary Manager is equally expected to work with vendors on delivery of quality products at a fair price, inventory of product at the restaurant level, and execution of delivery of product to the guests.
The Culinary Manager may develop new and inspiring dishes for the menu. Successful candidates should be passionate about the culinary arts, thoughtful leaders, confident decision-makers, quality-focused and able to effectively manage staff.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations.
Ordering and inventory experience.
Ability to ensure product quality and shift execution day in and day out.
Maintain targeted cost control numbers.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Oversee training of new employees.
Ensure employees are productive and developed professionally.
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
Provide leadership and direction to all team members to ensure we are continuing our outstanding company culture while taking perfect care of each and every guest.
Assist the General Manager and management team in making employment and termination decisions. Including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, reviewing and coaching the team as appropriate.
Skills/Requirements
Minimum of (2) years kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant.
A true passion for food and food preparation.
Experience with cost control, budgeting, inventory control and scheduling.
Knowledge of business process and functions.
Excellent motivation and communication skills.
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
Problem-solving mind set.
