Accounting Assistant

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a company in Turnersville, New Jersey on a Contract basis. This role supports day-to-day financial operations with a focus on invoice handling, payroll assistance, and accurate recordkeeping. The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with financial systems in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately to support timely payment processing• Assist with payroll activities by organizing data, verifying details, and helping maintain accurate employee pay records• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to keep financial transactions current and properly documented• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help maintain reliable financial records• Maintain accounting files and system entries within financial software and ERP platforms• Contribute to audit preparation by gathering documentation and ensuring records are complete and accessible• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing, payment, and payroll-related questions efficiently• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting support or accounting assistant role• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting processes• Experience using accounting software systems and ERP platforms in a business environment• Familiarity with tools such as ADP and Concur• Ability to complete bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy• Understanding of audit support activities and financial documentation practices• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
