You'll work cross-functionally to connect financial outcomes with operational performance, bringing clarity to both day-to-day execution and long-term decision-making.Responsibilities:Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, supporting decision-making around pricing, client selection, expansion, and new service linesOwn and lead the monthly close process, ensuring financials are accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliantOversee AP/AR functions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong financial controlsManage cash flow, forecasting, and overall financial visibility; deliver timely financial reporting with variance analysis and insightsBuild and maintain true cost visibility across orders, clients, and channels, and develop client-level and operational profitability reportingEnsure billing accuracy across shipping, carrier invoices, and client charges; implement audit systems to prevent overbilling or margin leakagePartner with Operations to translate activity into financial insights, develop KPIs, and identify inefficiencies to improve margin and performanceLead and develop the accounting function, providing guidance, structure, and accountabilityOwn and improve accounting systems and integrations across WMS, billing platforms, and financial toolsBuild scalable processes to support multi-warehouse growth and increasing operational complexityEstablish and manage financial structure across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and transfer pricing logicEnsure compliance across tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements; lead audit preparation and maintain strong internal controlsWho You AreWe're looking for a hands-on, strategic finance leader who enjoys building and improving systems in a fast-paced environment. You bring both technical expertise and operational curiosity-someone who doesn't just report the numbers, but understands what's driving them and how to improve them.Qualifications:7-12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or financeStrong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and close processesExperience in operationally complex environments such as logistics, fulfillment, CPG, or manufacturingProven ability to build and improve systems, processes, and financial infrastructureHighly analytical, with the ability to translate operational activity into financial insightsComfortable working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and leadership teamsHands-on and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityStrong communicator who can clearly present financial insights to non-finance stakeholdersExperience overseeing AP/AR and accounting workflowsExperience in high-growth or startup environments is a plusFamiliarity with WMS, ERP, or logistics-related systems and experience with multi-entity structures and intercompany accounting are ideal characteristicsBonus points for CPA or equivalent certificationBenefitsCompetitive base salary range of $130,000 - 150,000 (final salary commensurate with experience) + annual bonus tied to company performanceHealth benefits after 90 days of employment2 weeks PTO (accrues immediately after training.)
