Warehouse Operations Manager | Skyport Location: Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Cargo 4 FacilityReporting to: Aleksander Fabianich, Station Manager Status: Full-Time Skyport is a technology-driven air cargo handling leader headquartered at Prague Airport, Czech Republic. We are currently expanding our international footprint with the launch of our flagship U.S. operation at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). We bring proven European expertise, benchmark SOPs, and a long-term commitment to the North American market.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the operational scaling of our PIT Cargo 4 station. As the primary architect of the local team, you will transition the facility from initial mobilization into a high-capacity, 24/7 global gateway.You will be responsible for the "Day 0 to Day 100" team build. While our Station Manager is currently finalizing mobilization, your arrival marks the start of full-scale recruitment, FAA/TSA badging, and permanent team deployment.Facility Infrastructure: 77,800 sq. ft. modern, climate-controlled facility, featuring a digital Truck Management System.Capacity: 17 landside docks; Apron space for 2x B747-8 or 3x B767.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership: Manage daily warehouse workflows, ensuring 100% accuracy in cargo handling, storage, and distribution.Team Scaling: Lead the recruitment, training, and badging of the initial supervisors and ground handling staff.Security & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to TSA, CBP, and FAA regulations. Implement Skyport’s training programs, ensuring the local team operates with precision and safety.Growth Integration: Prepare the facility for upcoming specialized certifications and the integration of automated handling technologies.What We’re Looking ForExperience & Qualifications7+ years of management experience in air cargo or ground handling operations at an international gateway with 3+ years in a supervisory role with a demonstrated ability to build and motivate a high-performance team in a 24/7 environment.Comprehensive knowledge of air cargo procedures, including ULD build-up (pallet building), aircraft loading coordination, and warehouse inventory flow.Deep understanding of U.S. Customs (CBP) procedures and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ #33) operations.Proficiency in modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and CRM platforms.Certifications (Preferred but not required)Specialized Handling: Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods (DGR) / Pharma / Valuable – Vulnerable (VAL/VUL) handling protocols.Cargo Security / TSA Regulated Agent training.Forklift and Airport Ramp Safety (AOA).Physical & Operational RequirementsAbility to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, to support 24/7 operations.Compensation & PerksCompetitive Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (based on experience).Performance Bonus: Tied to station launch milestones and KPI achievement.The "PIT Advantage": Work in a brand-new, climate-controlled facility at the heart of the airport's $1.7 billion transformation.Growth Path: Opportunity to lead operations for future Skyport expansions across the U.S. network.Why Join Skyport?You are joining a consolidated, profitable international firm at the most exciting point of its U.S. expansion.
