RN - Wound Care | Contract Role

We are seeking a RN - Wound Care for a 11-weeks travel/contract assignment in Cambridge, MA, 02138. Job Details:Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekWeekly Pay Rate: $2,640 - $2,880Shift: Day Shift(8) - 8:00 startEssential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Collaborates with physicians and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care from referral to discharge/follow-up.Assists with the pre-authorization process and serves as a primary contact for receiving patient consults and medical information.Coordinates all patient scheduling for consultations, diagnostics, and treatment procedures.Gathers patient history and physicals; performs and documents comprehensive assessments.Orders and assists with lab work, imaging, and other diagnostics.Works closely with physicians and surgeons to educate patients and families on wound care management.Assists in the development and distribution of educational materials for patients/families.Participates in patient rounds and interdisciplinary case conferences.Maintains and updates clinical knowledge; serves as a clinical leader in process improvement.Acts as liaison and subject matter expert for the Department of Quality & Safety regarding wound-related incidents.Leads National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) quarterly pressure injury prevalence surveys.Fulfills annual mandatory educational and licensure requirements.Demonstrates commitment to professional nursing practice, patient-centered care, and continuous personal/professional development.Minimum Qualifications:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (required).Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) certification (required).1-3 years of related clinical experience (preferred).Proficiency with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access).Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).Prior experience in wound care or related specialty service (preferred).EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system proficiency (preferred).Notes:Travelers Welcome!Traveler Only: No local candidates accepted.Ready to take the next step?
