Position Title: Math Teacher- (Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Algebra 1 Lab)Position Summary:The Math Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting student growth and achievement. This role includes planning and implementing lessons aligned with state standards, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff to support overall student success.Key Responsibilities:Develop and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with curriculum standardsTeach courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and/or Calculus (based on assignment)Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learnersAssess and monitor student progress using a variety of methodsMaintain accurate records of student performance and attendanceEstablish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environmentCommunicate regularly with students, parents, and staffParticipate in professional development, staff meetings, and school initiativesSupport school policies, procedures, and student discipline expectationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related fieldValid state teaching license/certification in Mathematics (or ability to obtain)Strong classroom management and instructional skillsAbility to build positive relationships with students and colleaguesCommitment to student achievement and continuous improvementPreferred Qualifications:Experience teaching secondary math coursesExperience working with diverse student populationsFamiliarity with data-driven instruction and educational technology
