Cloud Security AnalystLocation: Columbia, SCJob Type: Direct Perm / Salaried (Onsite)Position SummaryWe are seeking a Security Analyst to strengthen and protect cloud security operations within a complex enterprise environment. This role focuses on monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure.You'll join a team that delivers mission-critical solutions for government clients, helping public sector organizations stay ahead of emerging cyber threats. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact cloud security projects in a collaborative, mission-driven environment while advancing your technical skills and career.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, detect, and respond to security events in cloud environmentsPerform threat analysis, risk assessments, and vulnerability testingConduct penetration testing on Azure infrastructure and applicationsProvide guidance for cloud and hybrid architecture securitySupport continuous monitoring and incident response processesInvestigate and remediate security incidents and compliance issuesServe as the security point of contact for cloud infrastructureCollaborate with stakeholders to implement secure cloud environmentsCreate and maintain documentation, security artifacts, and penetration test resultsPerform security posture assessments using Azure tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Security CenterUpdate controls to address emerging threatsCommunicate security status and project updates to leadershipPromote cloud security awareness across the organizationRequired QualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fieldMicrosoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer AssociateCISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)CompTIA Cloud+ or relevant network/security certificationExperience & Technical Skills5+ years in cyber threat monitoring, detection, response, and incident handling5+ years IT experience with Windows, Linux, cloud technologies, or web applicationsKnowledge of OWASP Top 10 and cloud-specific attack vectorsVulnerability management and remediation experience in cloud environmentsHands-on experience with penetration testing tools: Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Kali LinuxPreferred Qualifications3+ years with cloud platforms: Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plusExperience with Prisma Cloud, Dome9, or similar cloud security toolsKnowledge of cloud governance tools, CASBs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Experience designing/deploying inspection architectures in cloud environmentsFull-stack deployment experienceBenefitsSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
