Legal Administrative Assistant – Litigation (Part-Time / Southborough)
Join Bowditch in a part-time legal assistant support role in our Litigation practice area. The hours for the role can be flexible and outside our standard 8:30am – 5pm schedule as long as the schedule is consistent week to week. This position is based in our Southborough office.Position OverviewIn this role, you will primarily be supporting a busy team of legal assistants by providing support on a variety of tasks including document preparation, document management, client billing, general correspondence, and scheduling. We are looking for someone who is flexible, dependable, and excited to be an integral part of a team. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues in different office locations and can seamlessly communicate and collaborate virtually on a regular basis. The position requires a strong focus on providing sophisticated administrative support for the Litigation group.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, proofread, format legal documents, correspondences, and reports with accuracy and attention to detailAssist attorneys with case management, including organizing and maintaining case filesAssist with the preparation of legal documents such as pleadings, e-filings, motions, and correspondence ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal proceduresPerform other duties specific to the role as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred but not requiredA minimum of three years of experience in a professional services environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detailStrong client service skillsAdvanced computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Kofax Power PDF or similar/equivalent PDF program, BigHand Create and Hyperstyles or similar/equivalent Styles and Templates software, and NetDocs; willingness and ability to learn different technologiesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionEnthusiasm for learning and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and workflowsBenefitsComprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time offOpportunities for professional development and advancement within the firmA supportive and collaborative work environment with a team of dedicated professionalsThe anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents a reasonable estimate of the starting salary range.
