If you’re inspired to make a difference through future-building projects, join our best-in-class team.What is the Opportunity?Reporting to the EH&S Director, the EH&S Advisor will be responsible for providing health and safety advice and assistance to their respective project team. The EH&S Advisor will audit the Project EH&S Programs and work with the line organization to develop corrective actions with the goal of continuously improving health and safety in the workplace.What You'll Do HerePromote, educate, and reinforce Company Safety Policies and Regulatory StandardsTrack and report safety-related statisticsComplete and document EH&S field inspections, observations, and incident investigation reportsProvide EHS support to the Jackson shop and, when requested, also Savannah RiverSupport field activitiesHelp manage safety consortiums, ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce, and othersDevelop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and qualityInterpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reportsIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsProvide technical support to EHS system users and troubleshoot issuesAssist with the implementation of new EHS software solutionsGenerate and analyze EHS reports to identify trends and areas for improvementWrite, edit, and proofread EHS content for various platforms, including websites, newsletters, and training materialsResearch EHS topics to ensure accuracy and relevance of contentPerform other duties assigned by the EHS DirectorWhat You Bring To The TeamMinimum 3 years of EH&S experience within the construction industryDegree in Occupational Safety or an environmental-related field (preferred)Minimum 3 years of experience conducting safety-related activities, including but not limited to:Safety-Related ActivitiesConstruction Safety OrientationSafety and IH AuditsImplementing countermeasures for systemic problems that did not minimize risk or that led to illness/injuriesPreferredA team player who accepts and can manage change regularlyDemonstrated leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of applicable consensus standards, including NFPA 70E/CSA Z462A recognized, independent third-party safety certification. Examples: CSP/ASP, SMS, CHST, STSC, CSHO, CSHT, CRSP, etc.Experience developing or improving a construction safety management system or processExperience developing a site audit programAecon fosters belonging within and across our organization.
