We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and providing innovative solutions to our clients in Houston and the surrounding areas.Job Summary The Fabrication Assembly Helper supports the fabrication team in the production of structural and sheet metal components used in industrial and commercial HVAC equipment. Working under the direction of the Fabrication Lead, this role assists with material handling, surface preparation, layout support, and general shop duties to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality fabrication operations. Key Responsibilities Assist with layout activities by holding tape measures, rods, and marking reference points as directed. Safely load, stack, and transport raw materials, tools, dies, and work-in-process by hand or with material handling equipment. Prepare workpieces for movement using cranes or jib hoists by attaching ropes, slings, or grappling equipment as required. Clean, scrape, and prepare metal surfaces for fabrication, welding, painting, or shipment using scrapers, grinders, abrasives, or solvent solutions. Apply paint or protective coatings to metal components using brushes or other appropriate tools. Collect, remove, and properly dispose of scrap and excess materials from work areas. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform additional helper-related duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Fabrication Lead. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 2–4 years of sheet metal or fabrication experience highly preferred. Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure. Familiarity with hand tools such as drills, grinders, rivet guns, and other shop tools. Basic understanding of fabrication shop processes and safety procedures. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision. Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift (with assistance or equipment as needed). Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and work in a fabrication shop environment for extended periods. Comfortable working around cranes, fabrication machinery, welding operations, and industrial equipment. Exposure to noise, dust, metal shavings, fumes, and other manufacturing conditions.
