This role is responsible for ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, client standards, safety regulations, and applicable industry codes.The QA/QC Inspector will work closely with project managers, superintendents, field crews, and utility clients to verify quality throughout all phases of construction while helping drive continuous improvement across projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform field inspections on transmission, distribution, substation, and utility infrastructure projectsVerify work is completed according to engineering drawings, specifications, utility standards, and contract requirementsConduct quality audits of construction activities, materials, equipment installations, and documentationInspect civil, structural, electrical, grounding, conduit, cable, and equipment installationsReview and maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, turnover packages, redlines, punch lists, and corrective action reportsCoordinate with field leadership to identify deficiencies and ensure timely resolution of quality issuesAssist with client inspections, walkdowns, and project closeout activitiesMonitor subcontractor compliance with quality standards and project specificationsEnsure adherence to OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and utility client proceduresSupport commissioning and energization activities as neededParticipate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesTrack and report quality metrics to project and operations leadershipQualifications3+ years of QA/QC inspection experience within electrical utilities, power delivery, industrial electrical, or EPC construction environmentsExperience supporting transmission, distribution, substation, renewable energy, or utility infrastructure projectsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, construction packages, and technical specificationsKnowledge of utility construction practices, NEC standards, and industry quality requirementsStrong understanding of inspection documentation, turnover packages, and project closeout processesExperience working directly with utility clients, project managers, and field crewsProficient with Microsoft Office and construction/project documentation softwareStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel regionally to active project sitesPreferred QualificationsElectrical or construction-related certifications preferredOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience with high-voltage substation or transmission construction projectsKnowledge of commissioning and testing proceduresBackground working for an electrical contractor, utility contractor, or EPC firmInterested in hearing more?
