UniversitiesAbout the RoleThe Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Corporate and External Affairs to serve as its chief external relationship and revenue development officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Corporate and External Affairs Division, with a focus on developing business strategies for self-sustaining, revenue-generating auxiliary enterprises. This role requires an entrepreneurially minded leader with a strong background in business development, corporate relations, government affairs, and marketing, and a deep commitment to the mission of the institution. The SVP will also be tasked with overseeing financial and personnel functions, ensuring compliance with division-wide policies, and building external partnerships that advance the company's mission, reputation, and financial sustainability.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree strongly preferred, and a minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or executive leadership role. Extensive fundraising experience is essential, as is a proven track record in securing major gifts and managing capital campaigns. The role also involves leading a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major gifts, annual giving, and grant cultivation. The ideal candidate will have a background in auxiliary services management, knowledge of economic development strategies, and experience in government or legislative affairs.
