Delivery SpecialistDelivery Specialists haul HAZMAT in tankers and unload into tanks at customer sites. This position involves safely transporting chemical materials between our facilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer, managing proper documentation, and ensuring secure delivery of hazardous materials and non-hazardous materials. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and professional communication skills.The successful candidate will work closely with our logistics team, facility personnel, and other drivers to ensure efficient and safe delivery operations. Safety is our top priority, and we provide ongoing training and support to maintain our excellent safety record.This is a full-time position that may require flexible scheduling and occasional overnight routes.Key Characteristics:Experience with electronic logs preferably PeopleNetAll weather driving experience (heat, snow, ice, hail, sleet, rain, fog)Team player, individual thinker, self-starter with an ability to work independentlyMaintain accurate logs and documentation of shipments, routes, and delivery times.Follow strict safety protocols for loading, unloading, and handling of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This includes both bulk and inter-plant driving.Essential Functions:Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.Complies with all applicable state and federal DOT regulations, company guidelines and appropriate safety procedures when transporting hazardous materials.Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles or property to the appropriate persons.Responsible for scheduling both preventative and unplanned maintenance and repair.Conducts company business in a professional manner while working with the inventory planner, customers, and sales reps.Dresses in a professional manner using the provided uniforms while doing company business.Secures all cargo properly with the provided equipment.Trained and able to operate a fork truck to load and unload at the Veolia plant or Warehouse.Understand that you may be away from home for up to 4 nights in each weekThis list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation of the businessQualifications:High School Diploma/GED or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of verifiable experience with class A combination equipmentClass A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker EndorsementsExcellent driving and safety recordTWIC cardEligibility Requirements:Ability and willingness to travel up to 95% of the time, as requiredAbility and willingness to travel overnights, as requiredAbility and willingness to work a weekend, if requiredAbility and willingness to possess and maintain a valid TWIC cardAbility and willingness to wear a respirator, as required or neededAbility and willingness to dress professionally and maintain good personal hygieneAbility and willingness to keep up to date with online based trainingDesired Characteristics:Associate degree (2-year college or technical school)Valid US passportHigh functioning, problem solving capabilitiesExcellent people skillsCustomer service orientedAttention to detailStrong computer skillsTeam player, self-starter, independent thinkerForklift certificationAdditional Information:Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.
