Senior Python Developer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced Sr. Backend/Python Developer to support a recently launched, business-critical pricing engine. We are looking for a backend engineer with strong experience in Python, API development, and microservices architecture.Key Focus:Backend development with PythonMicroservices design and developmentAPI creation, integration, and maintenanceSupporting a live pricing engine (recently transitioned from greenfield to production)What You’ll Do:Build and maintain scalable microservices and backend APIsEnhance and support an existing production pricing platformIntegrate with internal systems and services across a distributed architectureCollaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver key improvementsWhat We’re Looking For:5+ years of backend or full-stack experience with a strong backend focusProven expertise in Python and API development/consumptionHands-on experience building or working within microservices architecturesExperience supporting production systems and shipping high-quality codeAbility to quickly understand complex systems with minimal trainingExposure to Databricks or PySpark is a plus (not the primary focus)Machine learning familiarity is a bonus, not required
