APS AssemblerThe Advanced Product Solutions (APS) Assembler plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately assembling components and subassemblies to create high-quality products. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all parts are correctly fitted and meet stringent quality standards. The assembler will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, contributing to continuous process improvements. The role demands adherence to safety protocols and efficient use of tools and machinery to maintain productivity and product integrity. Ultimately, the APS Assembler ensures that finished products are reliable, functional, and ready for the next stage of production or delivery.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate within Good Manufacturing Procedures (G.M.P) regulations and guidelines always in accordance with ISO13485.Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P's) in place relevant to your work activities.The selected individuals will be responsible for using their hands to assemble small plastic pieces to build contact-lens cleaning cups.Visually inspect components during the assembly process for any product defects and immediately report defects to supervisor or Quality department.Assemble product in an efficient and accurate manner, using proper components and lot numbers.Must be able to provide accurate and detailed count of each contents.Must meet daily production goals.Assures build work area is kept clean, safe and in an orderly manner.May help assist with the training of newly assigned Assemblers.Other/ related duties as required.Education & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredDisplay effective time management skillsAbility to work independently or as a productive member of a teamAbility to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracyExcellent English communication skillsAbility to follow directionsAbility to match like numbersAbility to keep up with required production rateWillingness to seek and gain further knowledge of components, as well as, further knowledge and skill in the assembly processPhysical DemandsThis position may require long periods of standing.Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, stoop, kneeling, crouch and lifting (up to 25 lbs.)Use of fingers, hands, or feel objects.Close vision and depth perception.
