Machine Operator

Description: Description Use math to calculate square footage, material demand as well as converting between metric/standard inch/msi Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up Requirements: Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of factory or production related experience Ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted, climb ladders, and be on feet up to entire 8-hour shift Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage awareness, and quality system awareness Competencies Teamwork oriented Excellent time management and self-performance management Results driven and detail oriented High standards for safety Ability to learn new machines, take direction, and perform repetitive processes at a continuous high quality standard Strong math & problem solving skills Fast learner with out of the box thinking Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend and pick up heavy items, and lift 40 pounds unassisted
