With over a century of excellence, Bolthouse Fresh™ products are available at major retailers across North America.Bolthouse Fresh Foods has approximately 1,600 employees.What You’ll Be Responsible For In This RoleThe Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for duties that may involve pipe fitting, boiler making, and insulating, welding, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will install, align, and balance new equipment in the departments.Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment plan for corrective actionMake necessary corrections and run adjustments to maintain maximum production and qualityTest equipment to check for proper operation of machineryClear jams and set aside product for inspection and reworkTry out equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime to ensure proper operation.Examine, test, and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, record data on appropriate formsMake preventive maintenance check and inspections of assigned equipment, report its findings to supervisor and take appropriate actionExamine defects and analyze spoilage causes where possible to take corrective actionAnalyze and record cause of production delays on daily production reportNotify the maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, quality problems, or supplies needed and take corrective actionInstruct and direct any maintenance trainees assignedVisually inspect and test machinery and equipment, listening for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctionDiscuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machinesMake repairs to machinery in cold storageDismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired partsClean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machineryLies out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentRepairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipmentOperates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal partsOther assigned duties and/or projects to support business needs. What We’re Looking For Minimum Qualifications: High School/GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experienceCandidates must have a verifiable history of safe vehicle operation and meet company standards for driving eligibility. This includes maintaining a clean driving record, which will be verified through a background check. Required Skills and Abilities:Willingness to work rotating shifts on continuous, seven-day cycleAbility to pay attention to detail and be thorough when completing work tasksAbility to use hand tools and trades type toolsAbility to read and understand equipment and technical manualsAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during assigned responsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications5 or more years of experience in related fieldPhysical DemandsEnvironmental exposure - cold/wet conditions (40 ° Fahrenheit or below); will work in the warehouse building as well as ALL facilities (indoor and outdoor).Material exposure – moving mechanical partsOccasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicalsAbility to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 55 lbs.Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, using 3-point contact on a regular basis when assigned to perform work duties.Ability to use hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, and handle scanning objects in one position or in a repetitive motion for an extended period.Ability to stand for long periods of timeHours & Workdays3rd Shift – Friday through Tuesday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM; Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs.
