The Business Development Manager will lead and manage strategic business development activities across both prospective and established enterprise customers.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implements strategic sales plans aligned with enterprise and national growth objectivesLeads development and execution of strategic customer plans and objectives across key accountsIdentifies and prioritizes target enterprise customers and new logo opportunitiesLeads the account planning process with a focus on penetration and share of wallet expansionDevelops and maintains monthly target account and pipeline reportingSupports and promotes focus vendors and corporate initiativesDrives cross-selling of products and services to maximize customer value and share of walletNegotiates appropriate contract pricing aligned with enterprise agreementsEnsures successful contract implementation across customer locationsEnsures customer profitability meets company guidelines while expanding long-term valueDelivers sales presentations to enterprise-level stakeholders and decision-makersMonitors and evaluates competitive activity within target marketsEstablishes clear accountability and ownership for each RFQ and new logo pursuitProvides tools, insights, and resources to support enterprise growth initiativesManages resource utilization to optimize business development effectivenessDrives a team-based sales approach for complex enterprise opportunitiesProvides technical and commercial leadership to enhance value propositionsInterfaces with product managers to support integrated and cross-category solutionsEnsures all proposals and contracts comply with corporate guidelinesJob QualificationsEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or5+ years of related experience in enterprise or national account business development; orEquivalent combination of education and experienceWork Environment & Physical DemandsReasonable accommodations will be evaluated and may be implemented to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of this positionThis position requires public speaking and the ability/desire to present in front of others.Associates are regularly required to sit, stand and bend.This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, binding machines, filing cabinets, etc.Position requires long periods of time working on a computer and performing repetitive key-boarding activities.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.May be required to handle hazardous materials and wear various forms of protective equipment (shoes, gloves, protective eyewear, etc.).Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand and may include little to no advanced notice.May be required to lift up to 10 lbs.Stay up to date with Vallen, and follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.Equal Opportunity Employer - Ethnically and Culturally Diverse/Females/Veterans/Disabled/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
