MEDICAL ASSISTANT/FAM PRACTICE- M-Th (830-5) and F (830-2)

The Toledo Clinic's Family Practice Department, located at 4235 Secor Rd in Toledo, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and administrative support. The hours are Monday-Thursday (8:30-5:00) and Friday (8:30-2:00). Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.General SummaryAssist providers with patient treatment, prepares patient for providers, and performs various clerical duties.Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesConsistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).Escorting patients to exam room.Preparing exam rooms.Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).Sterilizing and preparing instruments.At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.Administering injections.Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited ToOther duties as assigned.RequiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredConsistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.Completes all tasks within established time frame.Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.Excellent interpersonal skills required.Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).Medicare Exclusion List.EducationMedical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.PreferredClinical medical assisting experience.
