This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a cutting-edge digital twin environment supporting advanced robotic systems, simulation, workflow optimization, and future AI-driven capabilities.In this highly technical individual contributor role, you'll collaborate with robotics, software engineering, and clinical application teams to create realistic simulation environments that enable testing, validation, and innovation for complex robotic technologies.What You'll DoMigrate an existing operating room simulator into NVIDIA Isaac SimBuild and enhance digital twin environments for robotic systemsDevelop robot articulation controls and integrate with ROS2Create physics models for tool-tissue interactionsIntegrate sensor simulations and expand simulation capabilitiesEvaluate and enhance simulation environments for workflow, collision detection, and layout optimizationCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams while driving technical initiatives independentlyWhat We're Looking For8+ years of software engineering experienceStrong Python development experience in Linux environmentsHands-on robotics software or hardware development experienceExperience with simulation platforms such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Webots, Unity, or MATLAB/SimulinkBackground in robotics controls and/or ROS2Experience with CAD models and physics simulationPreferred: Omniverse/USD workflows, articulated robot simulation, edge computingPosition DetailsLocation: Weston, FL (Remote within the U.S. or Hybrid)Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PMContract: Initial 6 months with strong extension potential
