Data Analyst- Statistical Programming
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Data Analyst- Statistical Programming for a contract-to-hire onsite opportunity (with eventual hybrid schedule, 3 days a week onsite, 2 days remote) in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will develop and execute statistical programming and data analysis activities to support reporting, trend identification, and data-driven decision-making. This role will focus on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, building reliable reporting solutions, and supporting continuous process improvement within a collaborative analytics environment.Required Qualifications of the Data Analyst- Statistical Programming:Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related fieldStrong understanding of statistical methods, mathematical principles, and analytical reasoningExperience performing data analysis, data manipulation, and complex calculationsExposure to programming concepts and/or statistical programming languagesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Knowledge of relational database structures and data management conceptsStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical findings clearlyPreferred Skills / Experience of the Data Analyst- Statistical Programming:1+ year of experience in statistical programming, data analysis, research, or IT-related analytical rolesExperience working with tools such as SAS, Python, Business Objects, DB2, or similar reporting/database systemsFamiliarity with healthcare, insurance, or regulated data environmentsExperience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizationsUnderstanding of data quality assurance, validation, and compliance standardsExperience supporting database design, enhancements, or system updatesAbility to translate complex datasets into business-friendly insights and recommendationsResponsibilities of the Data Analyst- Statistical Programming:Develop, maintain, and execute database programs to support data extraction and reporting requirementsCreate both standardized and ad hoc reports using multiple reporting platformsAnalyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunitiesEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with established requirements and standardsDevelop documentation, procedures, and guidelines for recurring reporting and analytical processesCreate visualizations, summaries, and presentations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholdersWork Location: Onsite opportunity (with eventual hybrid schedule, 3 days a week onsite, 2 days remote) in Columbia, SC.Compensation / Benefits:Full-Time Employment with SYSTEMTEC means competitive compensation, access to health, dental, disability, and life coverage, and 401(k) with match.Please note: We are not currently able to hire candidates who reside or work in California, New York, or New Jersey.
