IoT & DevOps Engineer (TypeScript & Azure)

Overview As a Senior Engineer on the Home Energy Management platform, you design and own complex integrations from refinement to production, delivering scalable, reliable services that connect home devices. You shape architecture, drive end-to-end ownership, and mentor colleagues while collaborating with engineers, architects, and product teams. You work in a pragmatic, cross-functional environment to ensure production-grade, observable, and secure systems. Your impact helps thousands of homes optimise green energy usage at the right moments. Responsibilitiesown complex integrations from refinement through productiontranslate architecture designs into scalable, maintainable solutionsbuild event-driven services and APIs connecting home devicesautomate infrastructure with Terraform (IaC) and manage CI/CD pipelinesinvestigate and fix root causes in production and production issuesidentify design gaps, risks, and dependencies early and raise themlead code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing to uplift the teammaintain operational health: secure, observable, and reliable servicesshape architectural direction and enable long-term extensibilitydocument and communicate clearly with engineers and non-engineers Key requirementsseveral years of experience building and running cloud services at scale, ideally on Azure; AWS or GCP also acceptableproficiency with TypeScript, or strong skills in another modern language willing to switchfamiliarity with event-driven architecture, APIs, and IoT; understands trade-offscomfortable with Terraform and CI/CD; strong focus on testing, security, observability, and reliabilityownership mindset, clear communication, delivering predictablyability to mentor others and contribute to team growthownershipclear communicationcollaborationAzure (preferred)AWS or GCPTypeScript or other modern language
