As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your day revolves around preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, capturing precise functional images, and guiding patients through each step with calm, clear communication. You’ll work closely with physicians to interpret imaging needs, maintain strict safety protocols, and ensure every study is performed with accuracy, care, and clinical attention to detail.As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, You WillAdminister radioactive medications to patients and perform nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging proceduresOperate nuclear medicine equipment to capture images and assist physicians in diagnosing diseaseEnsure compliance with Florida Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials regulationsMaintain patient safety by minimizing radiation exposure to patients, self, and staffPrepare, calibrate, and sterilize syringes and supplies for imaging proceduresEducate and prepare patients for scans and provide compassionate, professional careComplete accurate imaging reports and contribute to quality patient outcomesBaptist South is a premier healthcare destination in Jacksonville, FL, serving the growing communities of southern Duval and northern St. Johns County.
