Product Content Specialist (In-Person | Chattanooga, TN)We’re looking for a Product Content Specialist to help us turn technical product information into clear, helpful, customer-focused content.This is a writing-first marketing role for someone who enjoys learning how products work, asking good questions, and turning rough technical input into polished content that customers can actually understand. You’ll help write product copy, manuals, installation guides, blog posts, educational articles, email content, and other materials that support both our customers and our brand.This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys storytelling, technical communication, and learning by talking with subject matter experts. You’ll help shape how customers understand our products from the first time they see a product page all the way through installation and use.You’ll work with real products, real customer questions, and real technical input from the people who build, support, and sell what we make. One day, you may be organizing an installation guide. Another day, you may be interviewing a team member for a tech article, rewriting product feature copy, or helping support written content for a new product launch.This is a great role for someone who wants to build strong experience in content marketing, product communication, and technical storytelling in an automotive environment. The user’s draft for this role already centered the job on product copy, manuals, blogs, and educational writing, and emphasized the need for someone who can take technical input and translate it into customer-friendly language.What a Typical Week Looks LikeYour week will usually be a mix of writing, editing, formatting, research, and collaboration.On a normal week, you might spend time drafting or revising product descriptions, updating manuals, formatting installation instructions in Google Docs, interviewing internal team members to better understand a product, or writing blog and educational content around common customer questions.During launch periods, you may help support product page copy, feature summaries, email content, and technical education materials. At times, you may also help prepare written content tied to events, training sessions, or customer-facing marketing efforts.Some weeks are more focused on manuals and documentation. Other weeks are more focused on product launches, blog content, or educational articles. Variety is a core part of this role.Core ResponsibilitiesYou’ll receive training and support, but this role may include:Writing and revising product copy, feature and benefit copy, and product descriptions for websites, launch materials, and sales collateralCreating and maintaining product manuals, installation guides, quick-start guides, and other customer-facing documentationTurning rough technical notes, engineering input, product specs, and installation steps into clear, organized written contentInterviewing internal subject matter experts and gathering information from R&D, tech support, sales, and leadershipWriting blog posts, tech articles, educational content, and other long-form pieces that help customers understand products and applicationsAssisting with written content for email campaigns and other marketing initiativesFormatting documents in tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Canva, or similar platforms, including adding images, captions, callouts, tables, and step-by-step visuals where neededReviewing content for grammar, clarity, consistency, accuracy, and brand voice before publicationHelping identify where visuals should be used to improve clarity and storytelling, even if you are not the one creating the imagesCollaborating across departments to keep content technically accurate, customer-friendly, and on-brandSupporting marketing efforts tied to shows, events, training sessions, and other customer-facing activities when neededTaking ownership of final deliverables and maintaining a high standard for quality, readability, and usefulnessOther Opportunities Within the RoleThis role also includes occasional travel to car shows, trade events, training sessions, and other industry gatherings.Marketing participates in these events for more than just brand visibility.
