Travel Ophthalmic Technician - $1,440 per week

LanceSoft is seeking a travel Ophthalmic Technician for a travel job in Beverly Hills, California. Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty:Ophthalmic Technician Discipline:Allied Health Professional Duration:13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift:8 hours, days Employment Type:Travel Job Summary:We are seeking a skilledOphthalmic Technicianto support ophthalmologists and optometrists in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic testing, assist in procedures, and ensure accurate patient care and documentation.Key Responsibilities:Clinical & Diagnostic Duties: Perform eye exams and diagnostic testing including:Visual acuity, color vision, and visual fields Applanation tonometry & intraocular pressure measurements Corneal topography, keratometry, A-Scans, and Schirmer test Ocular motility and extra-ocular muscle testingOperate diagnostic equipment such as:OCT, Fundus Photography, Autorefractor, Lensometer, Humphrey Visual Field AnalyzerAdminister dilating drops and topical medications as directed Patient Care & Exam Preparation: Obtain and document patient history, medications, and allergies Record vital signs (preferred) Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and surgeries Educate patients on medications, procedures, and post-care instructions Procedure Assistance: Assist ophthalmologist with examinations and in-office procedures Support minor surgical procedures including:Intravitreal injections (IVTA) Chalazion removal Removal of superficial foreign bodiesLabel specimens and maintain sterile environment Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments and surgeries Perform chart preparation and accurate documentation Handle pharmacy calls for refills Maintain, clean, and sterilize instruments and equipment Manage inventory and order supplies Assist with patient logistics (transportation, eyewear orders) Requirements:Minimum2 years of Ophthalmic Technician experience (Required) Optos experience (Required) BLS Certification (AHA or ARC) (Required) Flu Vaccination required (No exemptions/declinations allowed) Preferred Qualifications:Graduate of an accreditedOphthalmic Technician program Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)preferred Experience in outpatient or physician office settings Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic procedures Excellent patient care and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of universal precautions and infection controlAbout LanceSoftEstablished in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
